2017 Laureates
Our 2017 Laureates were named in a ceremony in Port of Spain today by Prof Compton Bourne of the Eminent Persons Panel. Click here for a television news report.
Two of the laureates were from Guyana and it was announced that the 2017 Awards will be held in Guyana next May.
In the photos are the laureates, Prof Compton Bourne of the EPP and Programme Director, Maria Superville Neilson.
Our Eminent Persons Panel met on November 5 to select the 2017 Laureates. At the top of the table is Prof Compton Bourne, Justice Christopher Blackman, Mr Christopher Bovell, Sir Shridath Ramphal. Prof E Nigel Harris, General Joe Singh (Justice Rolston Nelson), and Prof Bridget Brereton (back to the camera).
