Dr. Niven R. Narain
Based in Boston as the co-founder and president of a biotech company, his interests lie in the intersection of systems medicine and AI. Several pharmaceuticals developed using his platform are advancing in late-stage clinical trials and being reviewed by the US Food and Drug Administration for treatment of conditions ranging from aggressive cancers to rare skin disorders and age-related muscle loss, and childhood mitochondrial disorders.
His work continues to shed light on cancers that behave more aggressively in Caribbean populations. In Guyana, he launched a technology-led project to improve understanding and management of Type 2 diabetes.
