    Our 2023 Laureates

    Announced March 1st in Port of Spain by Chairman of the Eminent Persons Panel, Prof. Compton Bourne and Programme Director, Maria Superville-Neilson, our 2023 Laureates are (L to R):

    Joanne C. Hillhouse, author, Antigua & Barbuda (Arts & Letters)

    Dr. Adesh Sirjusingh, public health doctor, Trinidad and Tobago (Public & Civic Contributions)

    Dr. Mahendra Persaud, agri-scientist, Guyana (Science & Technology)

    They will be formally inducted into our College of Laureates at a gala ceremony in Port of Spain in June. In recognition and support of work that uplifts the region, each will be presented with TT$500,000, an Anthony N. Sabga Awards commemorative coin, and a citation. Congratulations to all!

    NOMINATIONS FOR 2024 ARE OPEN UNTIL APRIL 15

    The Awards are made in four categories:

    Arts & Letters, Entrepreneurship, Public & Civic Contributions and Science & Technology.

    They began as a biennial event in 2006, and went annual from 2010. As of 2023, 57 laureates have been named in the four categories and $25 million awarded.
